Today, my 12-pound dachshund ate about 4 ounces of milk chocolate Hershey's kisses. It happened sometime between 3 am and 9 am this morning, and my parents took her to the emergency vet around 11 so she could get her stomach pumped and the vet could induce vomiting. I am terrified that she ate so much of it (and that she didn't make it to the vet in time for him to get it all out) that she now has toxic levels of theobromine. She hasn't shown any signs of poisoning, but I hear that it can take up to 24 hours to show up.

Has anyone else experienced their dog eating a lot of chocolate? If so, what happened?

My little Tango's ears have always folded back and over, instead of laying down flat against her head. She's now 3.5 years so I don't think it's going to change, but I have never met another dachshund like this. Is anyone else's lil' buddy weird like mine, or know what causes it?
